Walther’s Rest, the former Samsø Bad (Samsø Bath), is a well-restored property on a large site and with a sandy beach right down to the sea near Ballen on Samsø. The building has yellow facades and balconies towards the sea and the street. The large covered terrace is also facing the sea and there is a great view to Samsø Belt and Zealand. The entire garden is enclosed with a yellow wooden fence. Behind the idyllic and inspiring surroundings situated in a beautiful countryside there are 12 modern guestrooms as well as a large room for meetings or parties. In connection with the large room, there is a large kitchen and a bar. Walther’s Rest is in every way perfect for many different kinds of meetings/congress activities and seminars as well as for weddings and other celebrations. Large arrangements with up to 70 persons are no problem. (Absolute maximum is 68 persons staying overnight). There are regular ferry services to Jutland and Zealand with Samsø Linien, Tel. +45 8792 1744 from Hou and Kalundborg respectively. The total travelling time from Copenhagen to Walther’s Rest is approximately 3 hours and from Aarhus approximately 2 hours. There is a bus from the ferry berth to Walther’s Rest. Large groups may rent an extra bus with Wulff Bus, Tel. +45 2141 5909. Walther’s Rest will be pleased to refer you to a cook, domestic help, reservation of additional rooms in the neighbourhood etc. |
